MATCO have supplied a US corporation who specialize in wire wrapped water tanks with an application specific Stress Multi Meter for the past running seven (7) years for use as a measuring tool by installation technicians in the field. The Stress Meters are designed around the principal of acoustic stress relationship and encompass high gain ultra low distortion analog to digital conversion.
The Stress Meters were designed as a portable and therefore was limited to operate from batteries only. Life expectancy of the battery was extended in the final revision of the product to well over 5,000 operational measurements from a single 9 volt fresh cell.
Weight and mass of the product was also critical as these tools accompany technicians above ground some sixty (60) meters and was a must to have the entire meter water resistive.
